The 2009 Lucerne is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger luxury sedan, available in 8 trims, ranging from the CX1 to the Super.
Upon introduction, the CX1 is equipped with a standard 3.9-liter, V6, 227-horsepower, flexible fuel engine. The Super is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 292-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
