The 2009 G5 is a 2-door, 5-passenger family coupe, available in two trims, the Coupe and the GT Coupe.

Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 2.2-liter, I4, 155-horsepower engine that achieves 25-mpg in the city and 35-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.

The 2009 G5 is a carryover from 2008.
